Brad Urlaub, Pastor - Pastor Brad earned an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Northern Illinois University and graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2012. After serving in a large and small congregations to young and old, God led Pastor Brad to St. Mark in October 2016. With his energy and passion of leadership and teaching, he invites others to follow Christ with him so we can all "Learn about Christ to Live like Christ and Love who Christ loves." His greatest love (second only to God) is his wife, Sabrina. Her love and encouragement keep him going (not to mention her amazing cooking!). In May 2017, God blessed Pastor Brad and Sabrina with their beautiful daughter, Ariana, through adoption. If Pastor Brad isn't doing ministry you'll find him with Sabrina and Ariana biking, walking, playing games, or enjoying dance parties.
Guy Vogel, Assistant Pastor - Pastor Vogel and his wife Sandy came to Janesville and St. Mark in April, 2003 after retirement to be nearer family. He had served congregations in South Dakota and Minnesota, retiring from Our Saviour's in St. Paul after serving there for 22 years. His greatest joy is sharing the love of Christ in preaching and visitation. You will usually find Pastor Vogel at worship on Saturday evenings, since Sunday mornings find him serving the small village congregation in Hanover.
Donna Padilla, Administrative Assistant - Donna has been the Administrative Assistant for St. Mark since March of 2013. She and her husband, Bob, have two children who live in Madison. Donna was born and raised in Kenosha and Racine, WI, and moved to Janesville in 1999. She enjoys her two cats, AnnaBelle & Izzie, working out at JAC, bike riding, and visiting with family and friends.
Amy Nelson, Family and Small Group Director – Amy grew up in Northern Wisconsin and went to school at Florence High School. She graduated from Concordia University Mequon in 2005 as a Lay Minister. Majoring in Theology with a specialization in Evangelism and Parish Education and a minor in Philosophy. She married Chuck a month after and joined him in Janesville, WI. That fall she received her first Call here at St. Mark. She absolutely loved it and love the people here. In 2012 she felt God pulling her to be a stay at home mom. In 2017 God led her back to St. Mark and she is here with us today. She and Chuck have four wonderful children. Beniah, Joshua, Abigail, and baby Andrew. They like to keep her on her toes. Amy is passionate about God. Amy loves seeing how He works not only in the big things, but especially in the 'normal' ways of everyday life! Amy loves serving with the family life at St. Mark and getting to know everyone better. She loves talking about our amazing God- things that happened and are recorded in the Bible and how God continues to work in our lives today. Come and say hi to her today!
Marissa Brunner, Lay Minister
Marissa Brunner graduated from Concordia University Wisconsin with degrees in Lay Ministry and Theology with emphasis on Parish Teaching and Youth Ministry in 2015. She met her husband, Mic, at the Concordia Invitational Basketball tournament and they got married in 2016. After spending a few years in Virginia, God lead them back to the midwest for Mic's job. They joined St. Mark and God opened up doors for Marissa to get to work with the youth. She is very excited to see where God takes the youth group! Mic and Marissa have one son, Asher.
Steve Jannisch, Custodian - Steve has been at St. Mark since March of 2011. St. Mark appreciates all he does for them!
