Brad Urlaub, Pastor - Pastor Brad earned an undergraduate degree in Philosophy from Northern Illinois University and graduated from Concordia Seminary in St. Louis in 2012. After serving in a large and small congregations to young and old, God led Pastor Brad to St. Mark in October 2016. With his energy and passion of leadership and teaching, he invites others to follow Christ with him so we can all "Learn about Christ to Live like Christ and Love who Christ loves." His greatest love (second only to God) is his wife, Sabrina. Her love and encouragement keep him going (not to mention her amazing cooking!). In May 2017, God blessed Pastor Brad and Sabrina with their beautiful daughter, Ariana, through adoption. If Pastor Brad isn't doing ministry you'll find him with Sabrina and Ariana biking, walking, playing games, or enjoying dance parties.
Amy Nelson, Lay Minister - Amy graduated from Concordia University Mequon in 2005 as a Lay Minister. Majoring in Theology with a specialization in Evangelism and Parish Education and a minor in Philosophy. She married Chuck a month after and joined him in Janesville, WI. That fall she received my first Call here at St. Mark. I absolutely loved it and love the people here. After seven years she felt God pulling her to be a stay at home mom. So I stepped down about five years ago, and that is still where I am at today. She has three children. Beniah turned 9 in May, Joshua is turning 8 in September and Abigail is turning 3 at the end of November and is always by Amy's side. Both boys enjoy wrestling and just playing around being kids. Abigail is right there in the mix of things and enjoys her nails being painted and purses, though also running around the house with nerf gun in hand right alongside her brothers. Amy likes to have fun, and is passionate about God. Amy loves seeing how He works not only in the big things, but especially in the 'normal' ways of everyday life! Amy is excited to have fun with the youth at St. Mark, and even more excited to have awesome conversations with them about our amazing God- things that happened and are recorded in the Bible and how God continues to work in our lives today.
Donna Padilla, Administrative Assistant - Donna has been the Administrative Assistant for St. Mark since March of 2013. She and her husband, Bob, have two children who live in Madison. Donna was born and raised in Kenosha and Racine, WI, and moved to Janesville in 1999. She enjoys her two cats, AnnaBelle & Izzie, working out at JAC, bike riding, and visiting with family and friends.
Guy Vogel, Assistant Pastor - Pastor Vogel and his wife Sandy came to Janesville and St. Mark in April, 2003 after retirement to be nearer family. He had served congregations in South Dakota and Minnesota, retiring from Our Saviour's in St. Paul after serving there for 22 years. His greatest joy is sharing the love of Christ in preaching and visitation. You will usually find Pastor Vogel at worship on Saturday evenings, since Sunday mornings find him serving the small village congregation in Hanover.
Steve Jannisch, Custodian - Steve has been at St. Mark since March of 2011. St. Mark appreciates all he does for them!
