Reverend Paul Speerbrecker - Pastor
Pastor Paul has served the Lord and churches for 31 years as a Minister of
Education, Christian Day School Teacher, and Pastor in Central Missouri,
Kansas City (Kansas), southwestern Iowa, Minnesota, northwestern and southern
Indiana, and has been Pastor here at St. Mark since June, 2003. He is a
graduate of Concordia Lutheran Junior College, Ann Arbor, Michigan; Concordia
Teacher's College, Seward, Nebraska; and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis,
Missouri. He has done graduate work at Mankato (Minn.) State University
and Concordia Seminary, St. Louis. His gifts are put to use in preaching,
leading worship, leading Bible Classes, visiting sick and shut-ins,
administration, and encouraging. He is an avid student of history.
[The congregation has been gracious enough to allow him to be a Vikings
football fan and Twins baseball fan (ailments acquired during his time in
Minnesota). And in response, Pastor Paul has wholeheartedly agreed to root
for Wisconsin teams whenever they play against any and all Chicago/Illinois
teams.] He married Sue in November of 1976 and they have 5 sons who live in
the Midwest and in California.
Amy Nelson - Youth Minister
Amy is a 2005 graduate from Concordia University, Mequon. She has been married
to her husband Chuck since June of 2008. They have two sons named Beniah and
Joshua. She works primarily with the High School students at St. Mark, and
assists with the Jr. High as well as leads a women's Bible study on Monday
nights. She enjoys reading different books to help her grow as a person, as
well as just being a new mom. She is thankful to be at St. Mark and to serve
the Lord to the best of her ability.
Reverend Guy Vogel - Assisting Pastor Emeritus
Linda Waters - Secretary
Linda has served as Parish Secretary for St. Mark since 2002. She married her
husband John in 1998. Linda was born and raised in Janesville, WI. She enjoys
walking, biking, knitting, quilting, and Beniah Nelson.
Sue Speerbrecker - Organist
Heidi Drefcinski - Organist
Heidi has served as an organist and choir accompanist for many years at St. Mark.
She has been an organist in Wisconsin, Hawaii, and California. Heidi attended
college at UW-Steven's Point where she met her husband. They were blessed with
three children and four grandchildren. She works as a pharmacy I.V. technician
and enjoys reading, walking, traveling, and playing the piano and organ.
Robert C. "Bob" Commons - Custodian
Born: Janesville, WI. Married to Mary Jo Commons 49 years. Has two children,
five grandchildren. Was employed at Chrysler Corp. Belvidere, IL for 31 years and
retired in 1997. He has worked at St. Mark since 1998.
